Apple-licious

It's that time of year again when we make our annual trek into the North Georgia Mountains.

This weekend is the second and final weekend of the Georgia Apple Festival, in Ellijay, GA. It is always a lot of fun to head up and taste all the different apple treats, because they are so fresh and taste so damn good. It's a little more than an hour away, so it's not too long a trek, but enough that we have to actually plan for it.

There will be a parade tomorrow at 10 AM - we've normally headed up in the afternoon, but we're making it a special point to go up in the morning so we can spend more of the daylight hours there and not return home when it's gotten dark. I'm sure the kids will also enjoy seeing the parade.

It should be a lot of fun.
