I will not be around almost all weekend. I will be going to a conference this weekend, and while it is in the area and I could turn on the laptop if I wanted, I will be intentionally unplugging myself for the weekend so that I don't try to do leftover work or start wandering aimlessly around the interwebs.
Heck, I might even try to use the minimal free time I have to actually be active, and not slouched in front of a computer or the television.
Compared to the craziness of late, it might even be somewhat relaxing...possible, but not probable.
So, in the meantime, fill up on some other links:
- Go congratulate Al on telling his boss to shove it, and going to work for Full Tilt. Nicely played, sir.
- Read fellow Regian Dr. Pauly's updates from the Rio, the $50,000 HORSE tournament, and the afternoon shift at the Rhino, then go to Wicked Chops for a bit of a more, um, surreal look.
- At Ace's, read about how Republicans just pissed off every poker player in the U.S....again, forcing us to marvel at being on the same side as Barney Frank and Barack Obama.
- Find out how reality TV will invade Atlanta this time.
- See how Facebook may try to invade your job as well.
- Be very thankful that Samual Alito is sitting on the Supreme Court and not Harriet Miers. Otherwise, it may have been a 5-4 decision the other way in D.C. v. Heller.
- More Southern secession: this time, Buckhead? It'll never happen, but if it did, there wouldn't be much revenue left for the rest of Fulton County. Besides, there already is a Buckhead, Georgia.
- Last, for a more graphic laugh, click here (h/t Kaja)
Peace out, bitches.
