The hits keep coming?

Breaking news: The Braves continue to ramp up. Rumors are now flying about adding Shea Hillenbrand, who is apparently done with the Blue Jays, to take over at 1B.

LaRoche then may be moved in a deal including minor league prospects (which ones are unknown as of yet) to add Barry Zito, scheduled to make about $3.5 million the rest of the year.

Perhaps Schuerholz has not lost his touch after all.

Developing situation.....

Oops. Not happening. Hillenbrand went to the Giants.

Mikey, Mikey, Mikey, please...stay off of the drugs, OK?

Hillenbrand is already a Giant, as you mention. But then you think the Braves will acquire Barry Zito for ADAM LAROCHE?

Call me back when your team is 21 games over .500. ;-)

That's ok. If the NL had a DH, I'd want him for versatility. But the way LaRoche has been hitting, let's see what he can do at 1B. He's playing for his job and he knows it. Plus Hillenbrand has an attitude from hell - 4 teams in 4 years?

BTW, why would Oakland trade Zito when they're leading their division? I don't see him going anywhere. Ted, do you want Livan? That's the guy I've heard rumored going to the Mets. But he's got a 6.00 ERA this year so I dunno.

If the Braves trade for pitching, I'd want more bullpen personally.
