Reggie Bush to the....Jets?

Don't laugh. It is a possibility.

The Texans appear to be leaning a lot more towards DE Mario WIlliams, instead of Bush, given their needs and recent issues.

The Saints, at #2, do not need a QB, with the signing of Drew Brees. However, they also have Deuce McAllister. While he is returning from injury, he is signed for a lot, and if healthy is still a dominant force. Given his injury rehab has gone well, the Saints may go with line help and take D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

The Titans, at #3, are taking a QB. Whether it will be Leinart, Young, or Cutler remains to be seen, but they will definitely take a QB.

And that brings us to #4 - the Jets. With Reggie Bush still on the board. I don't think the Jets would need 15 seconds, let alone 15 minutes.

Think the Radio City crowd would boo that pick?

Me neither.

Also, consider this: If Young falls to the Titans, then Leinart could go as low as #10 to Arizona. Possibly, Cutler could fall to the mid-teens - and the Jets could make a trade to move up to get Cutler with their two picks at the end of the first round.

The Jets could get their QB AND RB of the future in the first round.

I'm just throwing it out there. Make of it what you will.

This is WAY to optimistic to ever happen. Remember, this is the New York Jets we are talking about here.

Still, Williams is signed, sealed, and delivered to Houston as of tonight, so who knows?

My guess? LI native Debrickashaw goes #4 . And the crowd isn't happy.

If D'Brickashaw goes #2, then how can he also go #4?

If he is taken, then that means the Jets decided to pass on Leinart or Young.

Da Brick is not going to the Jets. In comparison to Leinart, Bush, or Young, it's a no-brainer.

I'm just saying.

Bush is too good to fall to #4. Some team can always trade up with the Saints if they don't want him. And if he's available at #3 then the Titans surely change plans and grab him and live with McNair or Volek for another year.

And Mike, I can tell you're no longer a die-hard Jets fan on the level of Ted! Whether he is or not, Jets fans have every reason to fear D'Brickashaw will be the pick and equally fear that he will thus be a bust.

You're right. I thought it was a no-brainer.

Unfortunately, the Jets have shown to have no brain. With a choce between Leinart and Ferguson, they went with Ferguson.

I will now light myself on fire.
